Tiakina is one of the most respected and well-known kennels in the world. Almost all of the shelties Carol and Les Watson bred and kept in the last 30 years were made up into champions. From the moment three Tiakina shelties went to the French kennel ‘Of Blue Tails’, Tiakina progeny also spread out over Europe. In Holland, but also in the rest of Europe, many shelties have got one or more Tiakina ancestors in their pedigree. So does our Rafiki. Anxious to know more about the people behind Tiakina, I contacted Carol Watson. We got an inspiring email contact, which resulted a.o. in this lovely breeders’ portrait, which is also a tribute to a nice family, one of the caretakers of future generations of shetland sheepdogs.
